IT support and managed IT

Your IT sorted, on site and remote

From stepping in when something goes wrong to taking over your IT management completely. We make sure your people can get on with their work and that you have to think about it as little as possible.

The starting point

IT should not be something you think about every day

In most smaller businesses, IT is the domain of whoever happens to know the most about it. That works right up until something goes wrong. Then the work stops and somebody has to find help in a hurry.

We take that role off your hands. With years of experience in IT support and technical assistance, we know how much it matters that someone responds quickly and explains in plain language what is going on.

Whether that means we step in now and then or that we manage your entire environment, you always have the same familiar point of contact.

Business services

Geekie works exclusively with businesses. We handle support, management, setup and advice for organisations that cannot afford to grind to a halt.

One-off hardware repairs are not part of that. If a piece of equipment fails, we advise on a replacement, arrange that replacement and make sure your member of staff is up and running again quickly.

Service options

Stepping in, rolling out or managing it all

Three ways in which we support your IT. They can be combined and they grow with your business.

Support on call

Something has broken or someone is stuck. You call or email, we pick it up, either remotely or at your office. You only pay for what you use.

Projects and rollout

New laptops, a new network or a move to different premises. We handle the complete setup, migrate the data and get your team up to speed. At a time that disrupts you least.

Fully managed IT

We take the management on for good: users, updates, backups, security, licences and monitoring. Your staff know who to call and it stops being something you think about.

What we help with

The parts that keep your business running

Workstations

Laptops, desktops and peripherals that simply work. Setting them up, updating them, securing them and fixing faults before they cost you a day.

Network and wifi

A stable network is the basis for everything else. We fix connections that keep dropping and build infrastructure that can handle your business.

Microsoft 365 and collaboration

Email, calendars, files and permissions set up properly. So that working together is easy and nobody has access to what they should not.

Security

Password policy, multi-factor authentication, updates and protection against phishing. Set up sensibly, without getting in your people's way.

Backup and recovery

A backup only counts as a backup once a restore genuinely works. We set it up and check that it holds.

User management

A new colleague joining or someone leaving. Accounts, permissions and equipment properly arranged, with no loose ends.

Remote or on site

Fast where we can, on site where we must

Most things we resolve remotely within a few minutes. But some jobs simply cannot be done from behind a screen.

Remote

Often resolved in short order, without anyone having to come out.

  • Faults in software, email and accounts
  • Settings, updates and licences
  • Looking over your shoulder remotely through a secure connection
  • Answering questions from your staff there and then
  • Monitoring, so we often spot problems before you do

On site

We come to you across Rotterdam and the surrounding area, at a time that causes your business the least disruption.

  • Network problems and cabling
  • Installing and connecting equipment
  • Rollout of new workstations
  • A move or the fit-out of new premises
  • Talking your staff through it in person
Frequently asked questions

About IT and IT management

What does remote IT support involve?

With remote support we look over your shoulder through a secure connection and resolve the problem there and then. That works quickly for software, settings, email, accounts and most faults. You are usually back at work in short order without anyone having to come out.

Do you come out to our premises?

Certainly. For network problems, cabling, installing equipment and rolling out new workstations we come to you. Some things simply cannot be fixed from behind a screen.

What exactly is managed IT?

With managed IT we take structural responsibility for your IT environment. Think user management, updates, backups, security, licences, monitoring and being the point of contact for your staff. After that it is no longer something you have to think about.

Can you help with rolling out new equipment or a new network?

Yes. We handle the complete setup: preparing devices, configuring accounts and permissions, migrating data, building the network and getting your staff up to speed. You get an environment that works from day one.

Do you carry out repairs?

With Geekie we focus entirely on business services: support, management and advice. One-off hardware repairs are not part of that. If equipment fails we advise on replacement and make sure you can get back to work as quickly as possible.

What can AI realistically do for my business?

Usually more than business owners expect, and in different places than they expect. Think automatic processing of quotes and invoices, a chatbot that intercepts questions, help with drafting copy, or intelligent search across your own documents. We look first at where you lose time, and only then at the technology.

Geekie

Does your IT grind to a halt more often than you would like?

We will come out and take a baseline reading of your environment. You will hear where the risks sit and how much you can already fix with a few simple steps.
