Your website runs on fast, secure hosting with an SSL certificate. No separate bill from a hosting company.

Good page titles and descriptions, a logical structure, fast loading and submission to Google. So customers can find you.

Your website works on phone, tablet and computer. After all, most of your visitors arrive on a phone.

Edit it yourself

WordPress is the most widely used website system in the world. Replacing a piece of text or a photo is something you can do yourself, no technical knowledge needed.

Term

For now 6 months minimum instead of 12

The usual minimum term is 12 months. For a limited time it is only 6 months, so starting is easy.

After that

Cancel monthly

After the minimum term the agreement continues month to month and you cancel whenever you like. A short message is enough.

When it ends

The website is entirely yours

If you cancel after the minimum term, the website is entirely yours. We hand it over properly, so you can host it yourself or elsewhere.

Revision

One round of revisions included

A revision is a round in which you review the first version of your website and pass on all your changes at once: different copy, a different photo, a colour that needs changing. We make those changes in one go. Need more rounds? Simply add them.

Domain name

Buy one with it, or transfer yours

No domain name yet? We buy one for you. That is charged separately, but usually costs only a few euros a year. Transferring your existing domain is possible too, for a one-off €40 transfer fee.

Costs

The cost of a website: €30 a month, all in

Having a website built by an agency quickly runs to a few thousand euros. After that you pay separately for hosting and for every change. For someone just starting out, that is a serious hurdle.

That is why this package has a fixed monthly fee. You pay €30 a month excl. VAT and you know where you stand. No setup costs.

Building a free website is an option too. You do it yourself with a website builder. That costs no money, but it does cost time. There is often advertising from the builder on your site, you have no domain name of your own and there is little you can do about your visibility.

What does a website from Geekie cost?

The Start package costs €30 a month excl. VAT. That covers the build, the hosting and basic SEO. There are no setup costs. Only a domain name is charged separately if you do not have one yet, and that usually costs just a few euros a year.

Am I tied in?

The usual minimum term is 12 months; for a limited time it is only 6 months. After that you can cancel monthly. If you cancel, the website is entirely yours once the agreement ends and we hand it over properly.

What is a revision?

Do I get my own domain name?

How many pages do I get?

4 pages as standard, for example home, services, about and contact. More pages or extra features can be added as a custom add-on.

How do I choose the style of my website?

In the sign-up form you select your favourite styles from a set of themes. If you have a brand style, you can add its colour codes there too. We build the website in that style and those colours.

How do I send photos and copy?

As soon as the agreement is in place, you immediately receive a link where you can upload your photos, logo and copy. No photos of your own? We will think along with you, or you can combine it with our photography.

Would I not be better off building a free website myself?

You could, if you have the time and the inclination. Expect quite a few evenings of figuring things out and building. A free website usually carries advertising and an address ending in the builder's name. For a business, that looks less professional.

WordPress is free, proven software that runs a large share of all websites. You are not tied to one supplier and you can always expand later, for instance with a blog or extra pages.

What does the SEO actually involve?

We set up your website so Google can read it properly: clear page titles, fast loading and copy that uses the words your customers search for. Nobody can honestly guarantee the top spot in Google. A solid foundation, though, we can.

Can I edit the copy myself?

Yes. You get your own WordPress login. Would rather not do it yourself? Send the change over WhatsApp. Technical support and extra changes can be added as a custom add-on.
